  • Increase the incline. Whether you are walking, jogging, or running this will increase the number of calories burned.

  • Increase the length of your exercise session to 30-60 minutes. You receive some aerobic benefit doing 20 minutes, but the fat-burning is greatly enhanced after 20 minutes.

  • Incorporate interval training into your treadmill workout routine. Exercising at different levels of intensity during a workout has been shown to burn more fat.

  • Perform aerobic exercise more frequently. It’s really very simple: more exercise = more calories burned = more fat loss.
